Inconel 800 (UNS N08800) Iron-Nickel-Chromium Alloy

Inconel 800 is an iron-nickel-chromium alloy having sufficient resistance to carburization and oxidation at high temperatures as well as moderate strength. It is especially useful for high-temperature equipment in the petrochemical industry since the alloy doesn't form the embrittling sigma phase after long time exposure at 1200°F. Another important feature of Inconel 800 is excellent resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking.

Alloy 800H is a solution heat treated (2100°F), controlled-carbon version of Alloy 800 with improved elevated temperature properties. It has high creep and stress-rupture characteristics in the 1100°F to 1800°F temperature range.
