Ultra-Thin Polymer X-Ray Windows – AP3 from Moxtek

AP3 Ultra-thin Polymer X-ray Windows available from Moxtek deliver excellent performance for low energy x-ray analysis. These windows contain very thin layers of aluminum and Moxtek polymer, DuraCoat. DuraCoat offers excellent corrosion resistance in 100% humidity. The proprietary DuraCoat treatment allows the windows to endure aggressive environments.

AP3 Windows are used in those applications where traditional beryllium windows prove ineffective. They are suitable for applications requiring reliability, vacuum tightness, high mechanical strength, high x-ray transmission of light element energies, and light rejection. The windows are supported by a strong silicon grid with a 77% open area. This patented design allows the windows to withstand more than 1.3atm of differential pressure.

AP3 Windows have withstood more than 100,000 cycles at a differential pressure of 1.2atm without compromising on performance.
