Thermcraft offers a low mass diffusion heating element called Fibercraft FC-200L. Specifically designed for low temperature operation, the low mass element includes a helically wound powdered-metal wire which is incorporated inside the vacuum formed ceramic fiber heating element insulation.
The powdered-metal wire is long-lasing and improves the overall effectiveness of a heating element in extreme temperature applications. It is also resistant to corrosive atmospheres.
The low-mass elements provide fast thermal response and deliver repeatable performance. They feature a unique design, which considerably improves the effective radiating surface and results in optimum heat dissipation, enhanced temperature uniformity, decreased thermal response time, and reduced operating costs. They are suitable for thin oxidation and LPCVD processes.
