Liquid Quenchant Fluidized Bed Technology (LQF) for Carbon Steel Wire Quenching from Thermcraft

Themcraft, in collaboration with B.W.C. Technologies and RichardsApex, has developed a highly controllable technique to simultaneously process steel tire wire and other steel long products. This Liquid Quenchant Fluidized Bed Technology (LQF) is dubbed as Thermodynamic Wire Transformation based on Newton's Law of Forced Convective Cooling. The technique is nontoxic, consumes minimum energy, and overcomes chemistry and diameter concurrency limitations.

The LQF system is operator friendly and can be easily adjusted for different types and diameters of carbon steel. It provides a high heat transfer rate that results in a fine pearlitic microstructure, which is often difficult to achieve using other traditional techniques.
