Gas Entrapment Cryogenic Pumps – COOLVAC

COOLVAC vacuum pumps available from Leybold are gas entrapment cryo pumps where gaseous substances are attached to the cold surfaces inside the pump via cryotrapping, cryosorption, or cryocondensation.

For this reason, the cold surfaces, the cryopanels, need to be cooled to a sufficiently low temperature. The COOLVAC pumps are cooled by means of the two-stage cold heads of the COOLPOWER series using the Gifford/McMahon principle.

Owing to the pumping principle, COOLVAC cryo pumps exhibit a high effective pumping speed for all gases.

COOLVAC pumps generate a hydro carbon free ultra high vacuum in the pressure range from 10-3 mbar to 10-11 mbar. They come in variety of models, including:

  • COOLVAC 800 BL without Control Unit
  • COOLVAC 800 CL Automatic Control
  • COOLVAC 1.500 CL Automatic Control
  • COOLVAC 2.000 CL Automatic Control
  • COOLVAC 3.000 CL Automatic Control
  • COOLVAC 5.000 CL Automatic Control
  • COOLVAC 10.000 CL Automatic Control
  • COOLVAC 18.000 CL Automatic Control
  • COOLVAC 30.000 CL Automatic Control
  • COOLVAC 60.000 CL Automatic Control
