Cleaved Mica Sheets (Ruby Muscoviste) for Electron Microscopy Sample Preparation

Freshly cleaved ruby muscovite mica surfaces are highly even and flat. They are also quite transparent and free from scratches and contamination. Cleaved mica is conventionally used in electron microscopy for the production of carbon support films, cell growing and thin film coating research. Ruby muscovite mica surfaces are also suitable as substrates for high resolution atomic force microscopy studies of DNA and DNA-protein complexes.

Agar Scientific suppliers mica sheets in a variety of sheet sizes and pack sizes.
