TRENT, Inc. Fintube Heater casings are extruded, finned, aluminum tubing, although stainless steel casings are also available.
The watts per square inch is lowered due to the longitudinal fins across the surface area that enable a higher kW to be used in a shorter length.
The coiled resistance heating elements are inserted into ceramic cores. Powered refractory is used to fill intervening spaces to transmit heat to the tubing.
Designed to give years of maintenance-free service when tubes are covered completely with fluid, used on appropriate voltage, and are kept free of carbonization.
