The SMP22 is a secondary standard pyranometer that integrates a new smart interface containing the sensor technology and quartz domes from the CMP22. This pyranometer has a well-established track record of decades, making it the most precise and dependable pyranometer. The SMP22 has decreased thermal offsets, improved directional response, and the broadest spectral range.
The directional error is decreased below 5 W/m2, thanks to the superior optical quality of the domes. The SMP22 is provided with the RS-485 Modbus® interface as a standard feature.
The SMP22 is provided with internal desiccant that will last for at least a decade, significantly reducing maintenance. Fitting the SMP22 with a CVF4 ventilation unit can increase the interval for dome cleaning and maximize the quality of the measurements.
The SMP22 has a digital interface and is supplied with individually measured cosine response data. The broad and low power supply range of 5-30 VDC enables incorporation into solar energy and meteorological stations simple. The SMP22 is provided with a five-year warranty.
The SMP22 comes as standard with the SmartExplorer Windows™ software for data logging, data display, and Modbus® address setting.
