Increasing Thermal Conductivity with Oil Immersion Heaters

TRENT provides oil immersion heaters that are used for wax, oil baths, oil preheating, and other heat transfer fluids. These heaters are completely covered with fluid, kept free of carbonization, and used on correct voltage.

These heaters, listed as having watt densities (W.P.S.I.) of 16-22, have a maximum operating temperature of 550°F and are designed for use with heat transfer oil. Those heaters with lower W.P.S.I. are designed for use with line and suction heaters and Bunker C fuel oil preheaters with a maximum operating temperature of 250°F.

TRO, TSO and TSOL Series Heaters

All TRENT oil immersion heaters are built with steel heads and tubing. In the TRO, TSO and TSOL Series of oil immersion heaters, a dielectric material is used to support the coiled heating elements. The heater tube in these oil immersion heaters is pressed to increase thermal conductivity.
