Standard Model: EMIA-Pro
Enables Everyone to Become a Professional Analyst
The EMIA-Pro Carbon/Sulfur Analyzer is built on HORIBA’s widely respected expertise in Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) technology. The device provides enhanced user-friendly software, improved cleaning efficiency, operability, durability, and maintenance to ensure efficient measurements, while its shortened cycle time accelerates development and manufacturing speed.
Long MTBM (Mean Time Between Maintenance)
The newly-developed, unique cleaning mechanism (patent pending) clears the dust in the furnace and allows the operator to continue to use the EMIA-Pro without maintenance cleaning for up to 200 measurements*.
*Depends on sample and measurement condition
After 200 measurements
It takes only 70 seconds for the EMIA Series to complete one measurement cycle, “measurement-display result-cleaning” (about 50 samples/hour), twice faster than conventional instruments..
Fast & Easy Maintenance
Due to the latest innovations, the cleaning time for the EMIA Series instruments is usually half of that of conventional instruments. User access for cleaning is also simplified by the simple design around the furnace and flat design around the crucible.

Advanced Operation Software
Ensuring that the EMIA-Pro Series is “easy-to-use” was a major focus. The layout, functions, and operating menus were given special focus. The devices in the series are equipped with a self-diagnostic monitor checking capability to check the status of the connected device and an alarm function. Three navigators have also been expanded to facilitate daily operation.
- Analysis Navigator - Based on HORIBA’s experience, this function uses the recommended operating condition and best measurement flow
- Troubleshooting Navigator - Automatic diagnosis system and troubleshooting navigator
- Maintenance Navigator - Periodic preventive maintenance work navigator by photos and videos
Depending on their needs, the customer can extend the system’s functionality at any time, even after installation. Upgrades include:
- Carrier gas purifier for ultra-low concentration carbon measurement
- Halogen trap unit
- Auto-sampler (20 positions)
