Using the RoHS to Ensure Compliance for Full Elemental Analysis

The Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) is a set of standards that restrict the use of specific toxic metals in electronic and electrical equipment.

The new RoHS Vision from Xenemetrix uses an integrated camera, a high resolution detector, and a powerful X-Ray tube with variable spot sizes to accommodate samples of different sizes and to measure the existence of extremely low levels of restricted substances.

The fast quantitative analysis allows manufacturers to follow the new regulations, while automatically identifying the matrix components and selecting optimal acquisition parameters for samples of different sizes, thicknesses, and matrices.

RoHS Vision completely complies with the most recent RoHS 2 2011/65/EU directive and is ready for future regulation upgrades and updates.

  • Robust design
  • User-friendly and intuitive proprietary software
  • Accurately study restricted elements in no time
  • Automatic matrix identification enables non-technical personnel to operate with high degree of confidence
  • Integrated camera and micro X-Ray spot for complete identification of the area of interest

Complete qualitative and quantitative analysis of elements from Fluorine (F) to Fermium (Fm) using a modern Silicon Drift Detector is provided by this innovative analyzer besides providing the RoHS analysis.

Even though Xenemetrix offers a system for RoHS analysis, the latest recast of RoHS regulations will affect a variety of industries, so because the new system is more versatile and powerful, will be able to meet the requirements of various industries.

The key advantages of the X-RoHS are as follows:

  • Light elements detectors option
  • Close-coupled geometry
  • Down to 123 eV resolution
  • High count rate combined with highly innovative new digital technology
  • Non-destructive elemental analysis F(9) - Fm(100) from sub-ppm to 100% concentrations
