With the new acquray series, Elementar now launches a totally new way for simple Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analysis and more. The technology is based on a chemical oxidation process that is supported by highly energetic UV radiation. This combination guarantees complete digestion of all organic compounds. The modular concept allows the attachment of optional extra modules for the determination of TOC in solids, Total Phosphorus (TP) in water and Total Nitrogen (TN) in water.
The instrument is available with predefined methods, entirely calibrates itself automatically and also auto-alerts the user any time maintenance is required. This makes the acquray series the perfect solution for regular labs that need instruments with minimal down-time and high laboratory efficiency.
With its modular concept, the acquray series offers an industry-leading versatility. Starting from the TOC analyzer base module, it is possible to attach additional modules anytime. For increased sample throughput, an autosampler unit can be used, offering several carousels for varied sample vial sizes. An optional combustion furnace for solid samples can be employed either for the classical TOC analysis of solids through acidification before combustion, or for the more improved method through temperature ramping without acidification. Completing the package, another two exclusive modules are available that allow the determination of Total Phosphorus in water and Total Nitrogen in water. Thus, acquray is considered to be the world’s first UV-digestion TOC analyzer comprising a Total Nitrogen and/or a Total Phosphorus option (patent pending).
