Non-Contact Technology for High Reliability in Extreme Environments with Linear Position Sensors

The inductive linear position sensors from Celera Motion are non-contact, absolute linear position measuring systems that make use of an exclusive inductive position sensing technique. Each inductive linear position sensor comprises of two major components - a target and an antenna.

The antenna is powered with an electrical supply and can be moving or stationary. An electrical output from the antenna makes known the location of the target in relation to the antenna. The target does not have any electrical connections and can be moving or stationary.

Linear Position Sensors for Extreme Environment OEM Applications

Celera Motion's Zettlex OEM linear position sensors are distributed in unpackaged form. This makes them perfectly ideal for inclusion within the user’s existing host product such as a gauging probe, wear sensor or actuator. It is possible to connect the Antenna and Target to the host product using several methods (according to the particular product), including adhesives and nylon screw.

The linear position sensors are perfectly suited for extreme environments where electrical contacts or optical linear position sensors would be unreliable.
