IKA Calorimeters C 1 Package 3/12

IKA’s C 1 static jacket oxygen bomb calorimeter offers a high degree of automation, coupled with the smallest calorimeter footprint on the market. The unit operates according to DIN 51900 and ISO 1928 standards, with temperature readings analyzed according to the respected isoperibol method developed by Regnault Pfaundler.

The package includes the C.120 water heater, meaning that it is possible to achieve results using drinking-quality tap water in a temperature range of 5 °C to 25 °C. Where water temperature is less than 21 °C, the C 1 package offers a measuring mode of 22 °C; and where water temperature is greater than 21 °C this measuring mode operates at 30 °C.

Furthermore, a chiller unit is no longer needed as the C 1.20 heater can maintain the correct temperature of the tap water as long as the water source is connecting to the heater at a maximum pressure of 6 bar/0.6 MPa. If this pressure cannot be adequately maintained, the C 25 pressure regulating gauge accessory is recommended in order to achieve this.

The package’s scope of delivery includes all the parts needed to assemble and start using the unit. As well as the essential components, the C 1 Package 3/12 also includes wear parts and consumables for approximately 500 experiments, including 25 calibrations.

The system’s catalytic activated, halogen resistant combustion chamber (C 1.12) has been designed with the combustion of samples that contain halogen and sulfur (> 3 %) in mind. It also comes complete with a C 6 large quartz crucible and the C 5010.5 large crucible holder.
