Imaging Microscope - iBox® Explorer™²

The iBox Explorer2 imaging microscope is designed for the fluorescence imaging of markers in small animals. The iBox Explorer2’s wide magnification range allows both microscopic imaging of individual cells and macroscopic imaging of the whole animal through a cavity of subcutaneous access.

High-resolution imaging is possible using the microscopes upright optics, which have a high numerical aperture (NA) and an extremely long working distance.

Features

  • Provides subcutaneous imaging of the organs and cavities of living mice
  • Observations of in vivo cancer microinjections are possible
  • Strong fluorescent signals and rapid exposure is possible using the microscopes bright illumination
  • Switching between macro and micro imaging is possible with a magnification range of 0.17x to 16.5x
  • Imaging across different magnifications is rapid and effortless due to parfocal and parcentered optical configurations
  • The capturing of images and detection of fluorophores is possible at a high throughput using the microscopes state-of-the-art, cooled, high frame rate color camera
  • Imaging in the visible, NIR and fluorescent regions is possible using an unrestricted selection of filters (GFP and RFP are included) allowing the microscope to be used for a variety of applications
  • VisionWorksLS Software can be used to collect accurate data and its automated templates facilitate the production of reproducible images

Applications

  • Biodistribution
  • Hematogenous trafficking
  • Intralymphatic trafficking
  • Micro/macro metastases
  • Primary tumor growth
  • Tumor angiogenesis
  • Tumor microenvironment
  • Tumor/host margins and interactions
  • Tumor shedding
