Checking Oxygen in Welding Gases — Nitrox Analyzers

The AII-3000 range or Palm O2 analyzers from Analytical Industries are a convenient means to monitor oxygen levels in welding gases. These inexpensive gas analyzers also measure and display the oxygen concentration in compressed breathing air tanks intended for personnel safety and scuba diving, O2 deficiency in confined spaces, and also for verifying the O2 levels before welding.

These monitors are equipped with similar electrochemical galvanic fuel cell oxygen sensors that are largely used for the measurement of concentrations from 0% to 100% O2 in gas streams:

  • Long sensor life of up to 60 months (AII-3000)
  • Integrated or remote sensors
  • 0%–100% O2 measurement range
  • Up to 13,000 hours of battery life for continuous use (Palm O2)
  • Fast T90 response time of <10 seconds
