AeroCheck+ Eddy Current Flaw Detectors

Ether NDE’s AeroCheck+ is the follow on Eddy Current (EC) Flaw Detector from the AeroCheck series. The AeroCheck+ delivers the same features as the first AeroCheck, including rotary capabilities as basic, but it also provides Dual Frequency with Auto-mix and Conductivity Measurement as well as an excellent frequency range from 20 Hz to 12.8 MHz.

Auto-mix streamlines the occasionally complex procedure of blending two different frequency signals and can be realized on the AeroCheck+ through a series of simple steps. Setting the Auto-mix is as simple as clicking one key.

The AeroCheck+ designed and produced in the United Kingdom is delivered with the ETher NDE promise of exceptional customer service and technology that is advanced as well as reliable.

The New AeroCheck 2 provides all the cutting-edge features of the AeroCheck Plus (including, Guides, Loop, and Trace) but without Dual Frequency and Conductivity Capability.

The AeroCheck Plus and 2 can be used with various brands of bridge, reflection, and absolute probes, and use industry standard 12-way Lemo and Co-axial Lemo 00 connectors, thus reducing the need for adapters.

Works the Way You Do!

The AeroCheck comprises of a daylight-readable 5.7″ LCD color full VGA (640 x 480 pixels) screen, ensuring the user has outstanding signal resolution and presentation regardless of the working environments. The integral “flip” function works equally well for both right- and left-handed users.

Lightweight, Rugged and Easy to Use

The AeroCheck Plus is lightweight at 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs) and housed in sturdy metal casing. It offers up to 10 hours of battery life, easy-to-navigate menu systems, and excellent EC performance.

The AeroCheck Plus comprises of a simple “single-level” menu system. Furthermore, any menu item can be incorporated into the “Quick Menu” sidebar with its own easily recognizable Icon allowing faster alterations during the inspection process.

The AeroCheck Plus has been designed with operator-selectable “soft keys”. Each menu item contains its own easily recognizable icon. The four softkey positions for operator selectable icons are for regularly used functions and a fifth position is provided for the last menu function used. Each saved instrument setting can be related to a unique, one-press set of rapid access operations. Two front panel hard keys are also present that can also be simply programed for rapid one-press access to instrument operations.

New Features

  • Innovative “Loop” Feature: “Loop” is an easy way of trapping a live repetitive signal and then enhancing the instrument settings, particularly Gain, Phase, and Filters so as to streamline the task of improving the parameters.
  • “Guides” Feature: “Guides” enables users to display a slideshow that can be created easily with frequently used desktop software. The advantage of this feature is that tutorials, instructions, and procedures for the inspection can be integrated to the AeroCheck+ very rapidly and the NDT inspector can easily shift between the Inspection itself and the “Guides” while conducting a live test.
  • Trace: The trace function enables a reference waveform to be saved on the screen and appears together with the graticule behind the live spot. This enables the user to freely do a comparison of the live data with the reference calibration.
