Axcend Focus LC®, which is the latest advanced, completely portable, high-performance liquid chromatograph available from Axcend, can be hand-carried anywhere. Moreover, it can be used at any place, for example, within a laboratory, on a manufacturing line, or even in the field. This is the first time HPLC has been provided with this kind of flexibility.
The Axcend Focus LC® provides better sensitivity compared to other UV-absorption-based HPLC systems, generating accurate test results quickly, while using 1/500th the solvents and producing 1/500th waste.
Designed and built in the laboratories of Prof. Milton Lee at Brigham Young University as the world’s first completely mobile gradient liquid chromatograph, the Axcend Focus LC® offers new opportunities and better flexibility for carrying out mobile analyses.
- Measures around 32 cm x 23 cm x 20 cm, with a weight of 7.82 kg (17.25 lbs)
- Capillary columns with an internal diameter (ID) of 150 µm are filled with 1.7–3 µm fused silica particles (other materials and sizes are also possible)
- Greater HPLC sensitivity via dual or single miniaturized LED UV-absorption-based detectors
- Easy-to-use cartridge-based system enables quick tool-less installation and working
- Requires considerably smaller solvent and sample volumes, and produces considerably less waste (as little as 1/500th)
- Rechargeable battery or AC power for laboratory or field
- Safe wired or wireless control and data output via connected tablets or computers using top Web browsers
HPLC Anywhere® becomes a reality with the new Axcend Focus LC®, a portable high-performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC). The Axcend Focus LC® is a shoebox-sized capillary solution that provides better sensitivity than other UV-Absorption-based HPLC systems. The system uses only 1/500th the solvents and generates only 1/500th the waste.
Its weight and size enable convenient usage at any place: from the lab bench to within a fume hood and from in-the-field analysis to the production line.
The Axcend Focus LC® uses dual or single on-column UV-Absorption Detectors suitably accommodated into a compact and user-friendly cartridge system. Axcend’s fused silica capillary columns have an internal diameter (ID) of 150 μm and are usually packed with 1.7–3.0 μm stationary phase particles (where other column dimensions and packing materials are possible).
The Axcend Focus LC®’s portable design also enables easy integration with auto-samplers and convenient pairing with mass spectrometers. It also ensures secure wired or wireless control and data output via connected devices.
