CIGS Production with MoNa Sputtering Targets from PLANSEE

In this video Dr Christoph Adelhelm from Plansee talks about the production of CIGS with MoNa sputtering targets. Small amounts of sodium in the CIGS absorber improve the efficiency of the solar cell. But in other process it is difficult to control the concentration of sodium in CGIS.

A simple alternative can be offered with the help of sputtering targets made from sodium-doped molybdenum (MoNa). This layer of MoNa sputtered on the molybdenum is responsible for the controlled release of sodium in CIGS absorber, which is being formed. Na concentration can be precisely adjusted by varying thickness of the layer.
