Composite Tow Specimen Tensile Test Using Instron AVE, Pneumatic Grips

This video demonstrates the tensile test on a composite tow specimen using an advanced video extensometer (AVE) and pneumatic side-acting grips from Instron.

The tensile property of the composite tow specimen is determined by subjecting it to uniaxial tension until failure.
