GT Solar International has secured new orders for advanced sapphire crystallization furnaces (ASF). Taiwan-based Tera Xtal and Alpha Crystal Technology have awarded two orders, while a China-based company, the Lingyang Group, has awarded the third order.
Alpha Crystal Technology and Lingyang Group are new customers of GT Solar. Tera Xtal has earlier signed an agreement with GT Solar to purchase sapphire materials. The total worth of the three orders is $91 million.

This provides confidence for new customers and proves GT Solar’s ability to speed up high volume production of superior quality sapphire materials with breakthrough crystal growth technology.
The crystallization process technology and worldwide resources from GT Solar deliver higher output and greater investment returns to customers’ sapphire production manufacturing operations.
