Simrit, a division of Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies, has announced that has launched new nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) materials at WINDPOWER 2011 event. The show was held from May 22 to 25 in Anaheim, California. Simrit has expanded its NBR sealing material portfolio with the addition of two new Ventoguard series materials.
The Ventoguard series of NBR materials has low-temperature and low compression set capability and provides high resistance to ozone and grease. Ventoguard 454 and Ventoguard 453 are two new additions that are specifically designed for application in slewing bearing seals used in wind turbines. The NBR materials are resistant against chemical and other environmental factors and provide high reliability.
Ventoguard 454 is designed for application in Shell Rhodina BBZ greases and offers superior compression set. Ventoguard 453 from Simrit is used in greases such as Mobil, Fuchs and Kluber. This premium material provides excellent compression set and cold flexibility. Both NBR materials help extend the maintenance cycle time of the sealing application.
