Spectrographic Develops Computer Based Automated Hardness Tester System

HM Indent Pro is a computer based automated hardness tester system available from Spectrographic. It is designed to offer excellent repeatability with efficient high speed operation to meet Micro Vickers testing standards ISO 6507 and ASTM 92.

HM Indent Pro Automatic hardness measure system

HM Indent Pro is designed to upgrade your manual hardness tester to allow automated indentation and measurement.

Hardness impressions of Vickers, Knoop, Micro Vickers and Brinell can be measured and correction factores can be introduced for curvature of the surface, this allows true measurements to be taken on many sample types.

Calibration is set and can be stored for multi lens systems, calibration is securely locked for operator level user, and only the supervisor is able to change the calibration settings giving security of the calibration settings.

The HM Indent Pro Automatic hardness measure system is offered as an upgrade to your current hardness tester or can be offered as a package with a new hardness tester. Full installation and training is offered as part of the package.

The vision system uses a high definition digital camera to offer high resoluation images for strain free hardness indent measurement. The computer software and motorised stage integrate with the controls of the hardness tester allowing the hardness tester to be operated from the computer hardware and software.

The motorised stage has an accuracy of 0.01mm and a movement of 100mm x 75mm which allows for precision indentation on multiple samples. Hardness routines are saved to allow identified routes to be selected when required.

Vickers results measurements are reported and a graphical representation of the case hardened depth is compiled as each hardness impression is measured.
