AZoM conducted a series of interviews at the 2007 MRS Fall Meeting in Boston between November 27 and 29. Here's what one of the exhibitors had to say when asked about their latest developments, products and technologies.

Recognizing that China has become a powerful international center for manufacturing as well as research and development, the Materials Research Society (MRS) are looking to globalise and hold meetings in China. The 2008 event will the the first of many such events and hopes to stimulate interaction between US and Chinese organizations and people involved with the materials industry.

The 2008 MRS International Materials Research Conference will have 9 parallel streams to the technical program. Organizers are anticipating 1000 to 1500 delegates of which they expect 300 to 400 to be international visitors as well as 100 to 150 exhibitors both from China and abroad.

Having identified China as an important part of the materials community the US MRS are collaborating with the Chinese MRS to organise a joint meeting to encourage collaborations and establishment of new trade relationships.
