MICRO MATERIALS , Denise Hoban, International Business Development Manager and Adrian Harris, Sales and Applications Engineer
AZoM conducted a series of interviews at the 2007 MRS Fall Meeting in Boston between November 27 and 29. Here's what one of the exhibitors had to say when asked about their latest developments, products and technologies.
Micro Materials manufacture the Nanotest Nanoindentation system. It differs from most other systems on the market in that it incorporates a pendulum system, which results in a horizontal loading. This brings about unique capabilities and open up new applications.
The Nanotest also affords the user the luxury of being able to carry out tests in environments that reflect the real operating conditions likely to be encountered in actual operation. This in turn speeds up time to market and development times as the behaviour of the component is more accurately understood.
"The Nanotest nanoindentation system from Micro Materials differs from other nanoindentation systems available in the market place in that it incorporates a horizontal loading system and can perform tests that simulate real life operating conditions."
