Aluminium Manufacturer Hydro to Sell Off Automotive Structures Business Norsk Hydro ASA has today entered into an agreement to divest its automotive structures business to Benteler Automobiltechnik GmbH, the automotive division of the large German industrial enterprise Benteler Group with headquarters in Paderborn, Germany. The agreement represents a solid, long-term industrial solution for Hydro`s automotive structures activities, and is in line with Hydro’s strategy to focus its extruded activities on profiles solutions and building systems.

BASF and Recaro Team to Produce Sports Seats for New Opel Insignia The performance front seats of the new Opel Insignia OPC – which obtained the quality seal of the Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V. (AGR – Healthy Back Campaign) – were developed by Opel and Recaro with BASF’s assistance. These seats are made of two special polyamides belonging to the Ultramid® family as well as of the specialty foam Neopolen®.
