A novel concept in the field of Material Science publishing and information provision - AZoM.com (the A to Z of Materials) was formed with the primary aim of increasing the use of Advanced Materials by the engineering and design community worldwide. Tens of millions of engineers now use the internet as part of their daily lives, yet the vast majority of them are still unaware what can be achieved by the use of advanced ceramics, novel metallic alloys or state of the art composites. AZoM was built to change that.
The aim of AZoM is to become the primary materials information source for the engineering and design community worldwide. It also aims to be the primary publicist of news, views and developments within the materials science community. However, unlike many other materials related organisations AZoM is totally focussed on the needs of the end users of materials. To achieve this aim, all of the educational, informative and news content on AZoM is easy to access and search and is provided on a free of charge, no subscription, no charge per article, totally free basis.
The idea to launch AZoM.com originated in late 1999 from a group of materials scientists who fully appreciated the potential of Advanced Materials but who were frustrated by the lack of awareness of the end-user community. Since then, and following extensive market research it has become apparent that AZoM fills a significant market need and provides an excellent marketing and collaborative publishing vehicle for thousands of materials producers, academics and researchers working in materials science. If you are active in materials science, AZoM provides a publishing vehicle that not only exposes your work to millions of end users worldwide, but also provides you with the opportunity of direct contact with the end users who use your material and the opportunity of receiving financial rewards for you knowledge and expertise.
AZoM is fortunate to have a team of world-renowned materials experts who assist AZoM by providing strategic direction, help and guidance. Our current knowledge team includes:
