Introduction

Master Bond LED403Med is a single component, no-mix compound that cures rapidly upon exposure to 405 nm wavelength light. It can cure at room temperature up to and beyond 1/8 inch thick upon exposure to LED light. LED403Med fully passes USP Class VI biocompatibility and ISO 10993-5 cytotoxicity requirements.

This product offers excellent optical clarity and light transmission properties. It has high bond strength to similar and dissimilar substrates including treated metals, glass and many plastics. Its viscosity is 100,000-150,000 cps. LED403Med has excellent dimensional stability and superior electrical insulation properties. It also is resistant to gamma radiation, ETO and various chemical sterilants.

Cure speeds in thin sections can be achieved in 15-30 seconds. Speed of cure depends upon the intensity of the light source, thickness of the layer and the distance of the light source from the material being cured. LED403Med contains no solvents or diluents. It fully cures tack-free without any oxygen inhibition.

Visible light curing formulations feature long term durability and reliability. They are ideal for bonding thermally sensitive parts. LED light emitting sources are generally considered to be less hazardous and more user friendly than their comparable UV light sources. Environmentally friendly, these products lower processing costs and increase productivity.
