Introduction

UNS C17510 beryllium copper alloys are available in mill hardened tempers and heat treatable and ductile tempers. These alloys have moderate strength and about 50% IACS conductivity.

The datasheet given below provides an overview of UNS C17510 beryllium copper alloys.

Fabrication and Heat Treatment

Cold Working

UNS C17510 copper alloys have excellent cold working capacity.

Welding

Welding processes such as brazing, gas shielded arc welding, butt welding, seam welding, coated metal arc welding, soldering and spot welding are recommended for UNS C17510 copper alloys, whereas oxyacetylene welding is not suitable for these alloys.

Forging

UNS C17510 copper alloys can be hot worked between 648 and 885°C (1200 and 1625°F).

Hot Working

UNS C17510 copper alloys can be hot formed in an excellent manner.
