The aluminium bronze- copper alloy UNS C61300 has excellent formability. The alumina film present in UNS C61300 offers strength and corrosion resistance.

Machinability

UNS C61300 copper alloy has a machinability rating of 30.

Welding

The preferred welding techniques for copper alloy UNS C61300 are brazing, gas shielded arc welding, coated metal arc welding, spot welding, seam welding and butt welding. Soldering and oxyacetylene welding are not recommended for this alloy.

Forging

UNS C61300 has a forgeability rating of 50.

Hot Working

Aluminium bronze UNS C61300 has good hot working properties.

Cold Working

UNS C61300 has good cold working characteristics.

Annealing

UNS C61300 can be annealed at temperatures ranging between 606 and 871°C (1125 and 1600°F.
