Aluminium bronze copper alloy UNS C61400 has excellent corrosion resistance. Aluminium present in UNS C61400 enhances the strength of the alloy.

Machinability

Copper alloy UNS C61400 alloy has a machinability rating of 20.

Welding

The preferred welding techniques for UNS C61400 alloy are brazing, gas shielded arc welding, coated metal arc welding, spot welding and seam welding. Soldering and oxyacetylene welding are not recommended for UNS C61400 copper alloy.

Forging

Aluminium bronze alloy UNS C61400 can be forged at temperatures ranging between 787 and 926¡ãC (1450 and 1700¡ãF).

Hot Working

UNS C61400 has good hot forming capacity.

Annealing

The annealing temperature for UNS C61400 copper alloy is between 1125 and 1650¡ãF.
