Magnesium (Mg) has the atomic number 12. It is a widely used metal, and is found in over 60 minerals.

Magnesium alloys are used in many engineering applications where light weight feature is a major advantage. Magnesium AZ91E-T6 is a cast alloy. It is a general purpose alloy with high strength.
