Polyamide 6/10 - Nylon 6/10 - PA 6/10

Polymer Type

Thermoplastic

Advantages

Lower brittle temperature than Nylon 6 or Nylon 6/6.  Lower water absorption than Nylon 6 or Nylon 6/6 (4% @ saturation). Stronger than Nylon 11, Nylon 12 or Nylon 6/12.  Retains room temperature toughness at lower temperatures than Nylon 6 or Nylon 6/6.

Disadvantages

High mould shrinkage.  More expensive and lower strength and stiffness than Nylon 6/6.
