High Gloss Overprint Varnish for Packaging and Display Applications

ThermaGloss® 460 is a water-based, heat resistant overprint varnish that produces high gloss, low odor, and excellent dry rub resistance. It is ideal for use on corrugated preprint liner or other packaging where high temperature processing would typically cause conventional OPVs to pick, soften, or smear. In corrugated applications, its superior heat resistance eliminates the need for hotplate temperature reduction, allowing normal hotplate temperatures.

Typical applications include retail packaging, POP displays and for ink protection. Michelman offers a variety of ThermaGloss formulations available for special needs such as high angle of skid and FDA compliance.
