Ceradyne Receives an Order for a Futher $5.3 Million

Ceradyne, Inc. announced the receipt of a $5.3 million order for the Company’s ceramic body armor system used to protect certain elite U.S. military personnel. This order is scheduled to be shipped during the first six months of 2006.

Joel Moskowitz, Ceradyne chief executive officer, commented: “We are pleased to continue supplying ceramic body armor systems to protect these elite U.S. forces in the war on terror. This order represents Ceradyne’s state-of-the-art ballistically enhanced systems and are different and separate from the large orders for Small Arms Protective Inserts (SAPI) the Company previously announced.”
