Uponor Sells Pipe Subsidiary to PW Eagle

Finnish-based Uponor Oyj, a leader in the field of housing and environmental technology have just sold their US-based municipal water and sewer pipe systems subsidiary to PW Eagle. The subsidiary known as Uponor ETI Co, makes technology for pipe engineering and was sold in a deal worth US$30-34 million.

The divestment was consistent with Uponor’s strategy of releasing capital for the development of the company’s core business, housing solutions and reducing exposure to the commodities business.

The acquisition of Uponor ETI compliments PW Eagle’s existing business as their existing business is in the west part of the USA. Uponor ETI’s market was predominantly east of the Rocky Mountains.
