Imperial Rubber Holdings has announced today that its corporate name is being changed to Polymer Global Holdings, effective immediately.
"The name change is probably the least significant change we're making," said F. Tayton Dencer, Chairman and CEO. "But we felt that the symbolic value would be worthwhile. It's a reflection of the great strides we're making in our product mix, and a reaffirmation of our global commitment to our worldwide customers."
The company is expanding its staff of customer service professionals, as well as moving to larger offices to accommodate the influx of "new blood" into the organization, as Mr. Dencer puts it. "Our customer base was on the verge of outgrowing our capability to give them the service they expect and deserve" he explained. We will continue to provide a true large-scale, economically viable solution to the global problem of scrap rubber, but with a twist," said Dencer. "We will soon be announcing---and demonstrating breakthrough rubber recycling technology with worldwide applications to major market sectors."
Polymer Global Holdings applies proprietary processes to vulcanized rubber waste products, such as used tires, modifying the compound rubber on a molecular level, cross-linking and re-linking the physical properties to convert "crumb" rubber into recycled products that are comparable in strength, look and feel of virgin rubber. One such innovative product is recycled rubber mulch, used as a non-toxic base in landscape applications or under and around playground equipment. It is said to offer superior safety and resilience for children who may fall during play.
