Polymer Production Expansion for Tiszai Vegyi Kombinat

Capital expenditure approval has just been granted by the board at Hungarian petrochemical producer, Tiszai Vegyi Kombinat (TVK) for a series of petrochemical development projects, with projects to start immediately.

Expansions which will cost TVL some 430 million Euro are focussed on three areas over the next 3 years.

  • Construction of a new olefin plant, which will boost ethylene production from 360kt/year to 610kt/year
  • Construction of a new polyethylene plant increasing output from 210 to 410kt/year
  • Increasing the capacity of the recently commissioned (2000) polypropylene plant by a further 40kt/year

The expansion will see TVK cement is place as a leading petrochemical products manufacturer in the central European region and will also introduce state of the art technologies to TVK.
