Dow Corning to Exhibit Silicone Solutions for Skin and Hair Care at PCHi 2011

Dow Corning beauty and personal care experts will make the following technical presentations highlighting silicone technology applications at Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) 2011 in Shenzhen, China:

• February 22, 14:30-15:00, Rose Hall 3: Isabelle Van Reeth, global Skin Care technology leader, will present “New Silicone Emulsifiers for Innovative Formulating Options” in the “New Technology & Innovations” session

• February 23, 9:30-10:30, Hall 8: Judy Zhu , Greater China technology leader, will present “New Application Solutions for Skin Care - Your choice of Silicone Emulsifiers and Elastomers from
  Dow Corning” in the “New Technology Session”

• February 23, 10:30-11:00, Rose Hall 3: Kevin Fang, Beauty Care technology specialist, will present “New Silicone Resin Product Forms: High Performance Materials for Color Cosmetics” in the “New Technology & Innovations” session

Dow Corning will also showcase the following silicone solutions at booth G10:

• Dow Corning ® MQ-1640 Flake Resin Blend: This new silicone resin blend won the 2011 China Personal Care & Cosmetics Innovation Award. It offers cosmetic formulators the best of both worlds – non-transfer properties that keep makeup looking flawless for extended wear and improved flexibility for enhanced comfort. A specifically formulated blend of silicone resins in flake form that creates a breathable, water repellent film, setting a new standard in long-lasting benefits. In color cosmetics, the new resin helps enhance color intensity and shine, and can potentially improve SPF in sunscreens.

• Dow Corning ® Hair Protection Solutions: Ultraviolet radiation, curling irons, and chemicals from coloring, perming and straightening—even frictional forces from daily combing and styling—all contribute to hair damage.
