Since 1974, PCMNCG has awarded more than 280 grants to over 210 institutions. Examples of equipment and instruments funded in previous years include an AA spectrometer, UV/VIS detector for HPLC plus columns, gas chromatograph, camera and software for a fluorescence microscope-to name a few. For additional information, including 2013 PCMNCG Program applications, please visit www.pittcon.org
Proceeds from Pittcon are used by the SACP and the SSP to promote science education at all levels. The Pittsburgh Conference Memorial National College Grants (PCMNCG) program is one aspect of the efforts of the Pittcon volunteer committee, staff, and sponsoring societies to support science education.
