Dow Corning Unveils XIAMETER RBL-9200 Liquid Silicone Rubber

Dow Corning, a provider of silicones and silicon-based technology, has announced the addition of XIAMETER RBL-9200 liquid silicone rubber (LSR) to its XIAMETER product line.

This LSR is a low-viscosity product series, which can flow into complex tool cavities at low pressures and may decrease the necessity for processing modifications of the molding machine. This LSR product has been unveiled to help fabricators of rubber products to achieve optimal manufacturing performance and to reduce the processing cycle time.

According to Ivan Mini, Dow Corning’s global product market manager for the XIAMETER brand, the company has a previous production history of high-quality LSR products, which are selected by customers for use in several applications due to the products’ flexibility. The company has aimed to supply more consistent and quicker processability with the help of the XIAMETER RBL-9200 LSR series among discrete batches from the same manufacturing device, Mini added.

Electrical insulation, gaskets, grommets, keypads and seals are the potential applications of the XIAMETER RBL-9200 LSR series, which are ideal for food contact. This product can be utilized in pot holders and spatulas, and as a substitute to latex used in the nipples of baby-bottles and in pacifiers.

Mini stated that clients seeking for high-quality products from a provider are devoted to optimize the cost in the international LSR market.
