Michelman will feature a variety of its flagship print receptive and functional coating technologies in booth 9C20 at LabelExpo 2015, being held September 29 - October 2, 2015 in Brussels, Belgium.
The company will showcase value adding solutions for label and packaging designers and printers; label, flexible packaging and folding carton converters; as well as brand owners.
Highlighted at Michelman’s booth will be its innovative DigiPrime® primers and DigiGuard® overprint varnishes formulated specifically for printing labels and flexible packaging substrates on digital presses. DigiPrime and DigiGuard are water-based, safe for the environment and the press operator, and are used primarily to improve ink receptivity, rub resistance and image quality on most substrates. Grades are available for paper, film, plastic and metallic applications.
Michelman solutions also include Michem® Flex P-series primers that provide high bond strength when used as tie layers for water-based coatings on film. Other grades enhance the receptivity of flexible substrates for better, more efficient extrusion of PE and PP. The series is applicable to dry, wet, and retort packaging.
Michelman’s Michem Flex HS-series heat seal coatings balance low initiation temperatures with high ultimate bond strength, while its broad selection of functional coating additives includes Michem Emulsion and Michem Lube that are added to water-based flexible packaging coatings to maximize the efficiency of form, fill and seal operations.
