Smorgon Steel Shareholders Approve Deal with OneSteel and BlueScope Steel

Smorgon Steel shareholders have today overwhelmingly voted in favour of the Smorgon Steel Scheme of Arrangement which, subject to approval being granted by the Supreme Court of Victoria, will result in all Smorgon Steel shares being acquired by OneSteel Limited and the Smorgon Steel Distribution Businesses being acquired by BlueScope Steel Limited.

Two separate class meetings of shareholders were held; a BlueScope Steel Class Meeting and an Eligible SSX Shareholders Meeting.
