Automated Location and Characterisation of Particles During Raman Analysis – ParticleFinder

HORIBA has developed a user-friendly tool called ParticleFinder for automated location and characterization of particles during Raman analysis. Through this software, a video image with countless number of particles can be instantly processed utilizing light/dark thresholds to identify and mark the particles.

Statistics i.e. shape, size and location for all the particles are presented. Based on these statistics, users can filter out specific particles. For instance, particles beyond a particular size range can be excluded. After the particle location exercise is over, Raman characterization can be started using HORIBAs Raman spectrometers.

Key Features

The main features of the ParticleFinder are:

  • User-friendly tool
  • Allows automated location and characterization of particles
  • Thousands of particles are instantly processed using light/dark thresholds
  • Presents shape, size, and location for all particles
