The ASD Equatorial Mount is designed to maintain the orientation of the Direct Irradiance Attachment (sold individually) and the Full Sky Irradiance RCR (sold individually) relative to the sun.

Once the mount is manually aligned with the Earth's rotational axis and appropriate solar alignment is attained using the directional keypad, the mount scans in synchronization with the motion of the sun across the sky.

The mount is powered by a rechargeable 12 volt gel cell battery pack incorporated with the mount. The heavy duty tripod on which the mount is installed is also added. The FieldSpec® spectrometer is mounted on a tripod (available individually). The tripod tray is not a customary item in the package.

It can be used with all FieldSpec® and handheld models.
