Laboratory Raman System for Rapid Material Identification - STRam®

The STRam® from B&W Tek is an award-winning instrument that is equipped with a high-throughput spectrometer, advanced algorithms, and dedicated sampling optics in a laboratory Raman system to offer quick material identification capabilities via a range of barrier layers and packaging formerly impenetrable with Raman.

Applying B&W Tek’s patented STRaman® technology, the STRam® can gather Raman signal produced underneath diffusive top layers to identify the material within even visually opaque barriers such as paper bags and plastic bottles. This eliminates the need to open containers and touch the material, thereby preserving package and sample integrity.

The system has been designed with a large sampling area and depth and reduced power density, thus enabling the measurement of samples that can be hard to measure using traditional focused Raman spectroscopy.
