Vacuum Transfer Module (VTM) - Effortless Transfer of Air Sensitive Samples Between Glove Box and SEM

Versatility is fundamental in developing the Alemnis Standard Assembly (ASA). Flexibility is increased with the auxiliary module known as the Vacuum Transfer Module (VTM), making it possible to safely deal with air-sensitive samples.

Compact and Retrofittable

The Alemnis Vacuum Transfer Module (VTM) is the most compact method for transporting air and humidity-sensitive samples from a glove box to an SEM and back.

The simple and durable design allows it to be fastened to the Alemnis Standard Assembly (ASA) without modification. The VTM can also be utilized without the nanoindenter to conduct standard imaging or FIB-cutting activities on sensitive materials.

Working Principle

The Vacuum Transfer Module is approximately 60 × 40 × 40 mm (L × W × H). Using a sliding dovetail fitting, the module can be conveniently mounted on the Alemnis Indenter or directly on the Stage of an SEM or FIB.

The device comes with two battery-powered controls for opening and closing the drum-type mechanism. One can be stored in a glovebox, while the other can be utilized on the SEM using standard vacuum-feedthrough.
