Goodyear are exploring the possibility of selling off their chemical business. They are looking at this option to try and enhance their financial flexibility and to focus future investments on their core business.

Goodyear Chemicals produce high performance polymers, latex, antioxidants and adhesive resins. They are the largest producer of synthetic rubber in the world with annual revenues of over $750 million.

Goodyear are looking for a suitable buyer who will value the company and maintain the commitment to customers. Meanwhile, the operations of the company remain unchanged despite the announcement.
