EXOVA Invest in State-of-the-Art Corrosion Testing Facility

There is currently insufficient capacity for inter-granular corrosion testing within the industry, and Exova has a £40k investment in a state-of-the-art corrosion testing facility at its laboratory in Dudley in order to greatly increase its own capacity for testing and thereby significantly improve its service to its clients.

The new facility comprises two fume cupboards, with capacity for testing up to 16 samples simultaneously. Approximately half of the total investment cost was associated with Health and Safety systems to ensure that the new facility met or exceeded statutory requirements for all aspects of its operation.

Karl Mills, General Manager at the Dudley laboratory, said: "Exova's investment in this superb new facility is a clear demonstration of its commitment to properly serve the present and future needs of its clients. The end product is also a fitting tribute to the highly commendable efforts of the staff in the metallurgy laboratory at Dudley to create such a splendid working environment".
