Dow Corning Reveal How Innovation and Innovative Leadership Made it an Industry Leader

Scott Fuson, Dow Corning’s vice president of U.S. specialty chemicals business and executive director, Life Sciences spoke at the CDMA Spring 2008 meeting in Philadelphia. After accepting an award presented to Dow Corning Chairman, President and CEO Dr. Stephanie Burns, he delivered a speech titled “Leading Smart Innovation at Dow Corning.”

Fuson shared with the audience an inside look at how innovation and innovative leadership transformed Dow Corning from a stagnant performer to a consistent industry leader in the past ten years. A feature of his presentation was the story behind the development of Dow Corning’s Xiameter business model as a way to offer more choice to our customers. Key points included:
